A tribute to J.R.R Tolkien

Keeping with the code of my writing to do something new I read the “Lord of the Rings” – Fellowship of the Ring.

Right now I have to tell you I am filled with nothing but reverence for the book and the author. I can’t imagine how visually stunning that book felt to me. As good as a movie running in front of my eyes. I saw the movie before reading the book, so all the characters were already there in my mind.

It’s been a week since I read it and I have already started to forget the not so major character’s names. I still remember what those characters made me feel. I now come to the obvious conclusion that feelings lasts longer.

For instance I love Tom Bombadil which I don’t think he even got shown in the movie, that I am thankful for I have my own version of him in my mind, how he has a way with the woods, how he gaily flies and he is always swift. I fell in love with his wife( sorry forgot the name), fair and graceful and how she provides the protagonists with a serenity.

Admirable character are all even the Black Riders, even the description of them of how these creatures perceive the world through shadows, how we are invisible to them at the noon, amazing concept. Aragorn the Strider, the strong and kind, Boromir the strong again but corruptible

Kindly don’t forget Frodo however good Sam gets.

All the nature visually stunning I must say- the trees,  the hills, the little rivers of the shire and the love of the hobbit for their shire, fireworks of the Gandalf with the pointed hat, the weight bearing pony, the great Sam and the friendship of Gimli and Legolas even the breaking of fellowship Oh! I love it all.

I was amazed to that extend that I went online to find the map of the Middle Earth. I know all of this sound amateur to many of you, but this is how I love things, they don’t make sense much and are most of all childish.

Again I must tell people that this is not review for I am in no position to do that. I wish I could write something this astounding.

Regards.

      1. You can check out the books page on my blog for some recommendations 🙂 Although I don’t read as much fiction as I used to, I enjoyed the Ender’s Game series of books by Orson Scott Card. Enjoy!
